Terms and Conditions
Version 1.0 · Effective September 2, 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of WAFI. By selecting “Accept and continue” in the official onboarding flow, or by using the service after a valid acceptance, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the current Privacy Policy.
1. What WAFI is
WAFI is a conversational personal-finance assistant designed to help users record, organize and understand information such as expenses, income, savings, goals and budgets. It may provide financial-education content, summaries and general suggestions based on information the user chooses to provide.
WAFI is not a bank, credit union, broker, securities firm, lender, insurer, fiduciary, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant or attorney.
2. Not professional financial advice
Information generated by WAFI is informational, organizational and educational. It is not personalized financial, investment, credit, tax, accounting or legal advice and is not a recommendation to buy, sell, obtain or cancel a financial product. Financial decisions remain the user’s responsibility. For important decisions, consult a qualified professional who understands your complete circumstances.
3. Eligibility
The WAFI beta is intended for people 18 or older who have sufficient legal capacity to accept these Terms. By using WAFI you represent that you meet this requirement and will provide truthful information where needed for the service.
4. Acceptance and evidence
Before processing financial information on first use, WAFI must show links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy inside the official chat and provide a clear acceptance action using official WhatsApp/Meta interactive components where available for the implemented flow. WAFI may record the accepted version, date/time, channel, wa_id and the technical message or event identifier.
If the Terms or Privacy Policy change materially, WAFI may pause certain features until renewed acceptance is obtained.
5. Permitted use
You may use WAFI for lawful personal purposes involving financial organization and education. You are responsible for the content you send and for having the right to share it.
6. Prohibited use
- Sending or requesting stolen data, login credentials, passwords, PINs, authentication codes or unlawfully obtained information.
- Using WAFI for fraud, deception, money laundering, illicit financing, impersonation or unlawful activity.
- Attempting to interfere with the security, availability or integrity of the service.
- Using unauthorized automation, scraping, abusive reverse engineering or mechanisms intended to evade limits or controls.
- Using WAFI to facilitate products or services prohibited under applicable WhatsApp Business Platform policies, including where applicable payday loans, paycheck advances, peer-to-peer lending, debt collection or other Meta-restricted categories.
7. Sensitive financial data
Do not share full payment-card numbers, financial-account numbers, government ID numbers, passwords, PINs, CVV/CVC codes or authentication codes. WAFI can help you record that a card was used or that a debt exists without needing the full number of the instrument or account.
8. Accuracy and confirmations
WAFI may misinterpret a message, receipt, audio, category, date or amount. Users should review important records and summaries. WAFI may request confirmation when information is ambiguous. Automated confirmation does not remove the user’s responsibility to verify information.
9. Artificial intelligence
Some functions may use artificial intelligence or automated processing. Outputs can contain mistakes, omissions or incorrect inferences. Do not rely exclusively on a WAFI output for a decision that could create a significant financial loss or legal obligation.
10. WhatsApp Business Platform
WAFI will use only authorized official mechanisms to integrate WhatsApp. Use of the channel is also subject to WhatsApp and Meta terms and policies. WAFI may use official buttons, lists, approved templates or WhatsApp Flows where appropriate. WAFI does not guarantee permanent channel availability because the service may depend on third parties.
11. Messages initiated by WAFI
WAFI should initiate communications only where the necessary authorization exists and in accordance with applicable WhatsApp Business Platform rules. Outside customer-service windows that permit free-form replies, the appropriate approved templates will be used. You may request to stop receiving non-essential communications.
12. Plans, limits and features
During beta, certain features, limits, prices or capabilities may be tested and changed. Product pages may describe features as “coming soon”; those descriptions do not create an obligation to launch by a specific date. Before charging for a feature, WAFI should present applicable commercial terms clearly.
13. Third parties
WAFI may depend on third-party messaging, infrastructure, storage, AI, voice, image, security or analytics services. Those providers may have their own terms and policies. WAFI will use reasonable selection criteria but does not fully control their availability or operation.
14. Account security
You are responsible for protecting your device, WhatsApp account and access to WAFI. If you believe unauthorized access occurred, contact hola@wafi.chat.
15. Availability, changes and beta
WAFI may modify, suspend or retire features for maintenance, security, compliance, provider changes or product evolution. Beta use may involve interruptions, errors, unavailable features or behavioral changes. Where reasonably possible, we will seek to avoid changes that unnecessarily harm users.
16. Intellectual property
The WAFI brand, visual identity, software, designs, text and proprietary materials are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership rights in WAFI. Users retain the rights they lawfully hold in content they submit.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WAFI is provided “as is” and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or that every classification, calculation, explanation or general suggestion will be accurate. WAFI is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of automated output or for indirect, incidental or consequential losses to the extent those exclusions are permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived or excluded.
18. Responsibility for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, users are responsible for claims, damages or costs arising from unlawful use, content they had no right to share, or material violations of these Terms.
19. Suspension and termination
WAFI may limit or suspend access where there is a reasonable security, fraud, abuse, legal-compliance or service-risk basis. Users may stop using WAFI at any time and may request deletion of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
20. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms will be interpreted under the law applicable to WAFI’s operation and the user. Before filing a formal claim, please contact hola@wafi.chat so the issue can be addressed in good faith. This section does not limit mandatory consumer rights or jurisdiction rules imposed by law.
21. Changes
We may update these Terms because of legal, technical, operational or product changes. The current version and date will appear here. Material changes may require renewed acceptance before WAFI continues processing financial information or providing certain features.
